... and farmed a few epics from High King Maulgar. Once the pull was sorted out the fight was really nothing special.

Now I have wasted many hours in Scarlet Monastery. I have wasted many hours in Swamp of Sorrows and AH. And I have waisted many hours standing around in IF making potions.
Why? Because blizzard decided to put a boss in Naxx, defying all rules of reasonbility and expecting us to leap through countless hoopst to kill it. And we did!
Now I don't know where to begin, as this wasn't a fight with rushing adrenaline, but a cool one, that kept you calm. You had to move right, time right, heal right (u only get one shot a minute) and dps right... This was a fight of keeping ur wits together for all classes involved. We had a hard time doing that. Why? Well let's begin with the simple fact of all getting shadow pots. Even though announced months before (august I think) many had conveniently forgotten to do it and had to farm their asses off in the last 3 weeks on our few tries. They did however and we usually survived the first one two dooms... however today was the night we wanted Loatheb down. We wanted to end up with the 3 hard ones of Naxx just before the patch.. and we did :)
At 22 this night Genesis went on a trip around the world. Seeing yellow dots over the map following a trail of important buffing spots, made me feel all fuzzy inside. By getting ourselves UBER buffed (and I do mean uber) with a variety of Darkmoon Fair, Onyxia, Zul gurub, Major Trollsbloods, Fortitude elixers, Flasks, Shadow/fire/frost damage, etc etc etc we managed to feel prepared for Loatheb. The moment we went in for Loatheb the Curse of Genesis Uber Buffing (yes there is a curse) came true: The Healing Addon we so heavily needed in this fight did NOT work.... Fear went through the healing channel, as we knew we were .. screwed... and a single <sigh> came out of our Tank. But someone said: just keep at it guys, we can do this, and we continued healing.. on the single knowledge of not letting Tefa die.
We healed once a minute, having no shouts prepared, having no microphones to use and warn and having no clue if we were going to make it. But 20500 dps made us invincible... we killed Loatheb without a single death in our buff go ! And the feeling was amazing.
Now what to do on a night like this but finish it off with a FLAWLESS Gothik kill (not done him since our first kill) and feel we have reached the important part of Naxx... one month to go, 3 bosses to go!

The Thank You's are hard this time, as I have to thank COUNTLESS of people, not to say the whole of 40 that were here tonight. Not only for being there to ensure a full raid, but also to coming prepared and in a great mood! I am proud once more.. this night was amazing.
Thank you to Tefa most of all, who put countless of hours in prepping the guild for Loatheb and handing out more pots than people realise (around 1k gold worth he handed out while herbing himself)
Thank you to Asana, Lomber and Xasapis for leading through the Loatheb fights of the last weeks
Thank you to Marthe, for your 500 gold well spend , for Stormaries and Paazan (and many others) for spending so much gold on pots too
Thank you to Curze, Kalidin, Clangeddin, Darksend, Tylerlee and Heero for keeping the mood up by your either very funny or not so funny jokes
Thank you to Censor for popping online to wish us good luck even with ur 7k lag (shows team spirit)
Thank you for the Alt Locks that came to hand out extra health stones ( I believe mains are Steele, Casta, Ini, Asana)
Thank you to Vitaropago for loggin in at 4 am to raid with us
Thank you to anyone I have left out and made this night so very special!
A HUGE THANK YOU: to the healer team.. with the best healing I have ever seen (even better than patchwerk!)

Genesis is moving through Naxx as there is no TBC on it's way. Determined to kill Kel'thuzad before or close after the expansion it means investing all our time in killing new bosses. Tonight was Gothik's turn and it is true what they say about him: once you get his adds under control, he's a pile of ...
Anyway to keep it short. Gothik took us approx two nights and a half, some flasks and a lot of mage/rogue loving aswell as a lot of priest shackling. It took concentration and persistance and I must say the kill was pretty smooth.
Genesis has two more training nights on mister Healbot (read: Loatheb) to call this week another succesful one.
Velvaria
PS: The Thank You's
To Niteowl for sticking through the rough period of no account
To Lingam and Lomber for the mage sorting on this fight
To Leilani for the excellent marking (so good most people dont even notice it happens)
To myself for shouting at the guild (someone got to do it)
Also we will have to say /love /hug and /bow to the few members who have been so close for us for one and a half year and devoted Genesis members, that have quitted the game. We will miss you more than you know.... Hopefully one day you might come to your family!

Woopie! Any idea how strange it is for me to not be able to post news? Especially after a first kill it feels devastating... but well here I am again !
Too bad all the old news items got lost but our new website is up and running and hopefully will be much better than the old one.
Anyway to the point: Gluth died.
How? By Pala's doing an excellent job on kiting!
Well since it's old news by now and I don't want to be a drag, let me just wrap it up with some thank you's. Hopefully I will report back with a new kill and a new staff <cough>...
Velvaria
